How did you prepare yourself after hearing the news?

Getting to the field, the thing we can do for sure is checking the information of what is happening, where, how, whether we can get in and how serious.   We have to know whether the area is dangerous or not and if so, the degree of danger.  For me, as a routine photographer, I have to be prepared in every weather condition, I have to wear proper clothes.  As for this case, an anti-toxic mask is a must.  I got it from working in the demonstration, I have it with me all the time.  I also have face-shield glasses.  I prepared all of these protective gear.  I also talked to officers on the field of what was happening and what would happen next.

What was your feeling at the scene?

The inner fear is there.  I have to work with care.  I tried not to bring myself in front of the officers, not to bring  myself in the risky area.  I have to listen to what the officers were going to do.  When the field was relaxed or not busy, I came in to take photographs.  I shot the atmosphere of and around the field.  I had to be informed of the current situation, report regularly, like checking in, and updating.  After taking photos, I left the scene to report the events, gather information from the Internet and the actual event, update as fast as possible and went back to follow the situation.

At what point did you decide to leave the area?

I went there every day from the beginning until the forensic investigation and the removal of the chemical.  I got photographs of the end of the beginner.  But my work will not end until I can photograph all the victims who get compensation from this crisis.
